Why Two Horses? The Story Behind the Emblem
Share
A detail with a story.
The two horses that appear on the Parfums de Marly emblem connect the Maison to The Horses of Marly, the monumental sculptures created by French sculptor Guillaume Coustou for the Château de Marly during the reign of Louis XV, King of France.
Originally created for the royal residence near Versailles, the sculptures capture horses in powerful movement, restrained by their handlers. Their legacy continues today in the emblem associated with Parfums de Marly.
The original sculptures are preserved at the Louvre in Paris.
Delina Exclusif carries this emblem on its bottle—a small detail that opens a much larger story of French art, history and perfumery.
